Took a vacation day from work to shoot some RAGBRAI pics as riders leave Council Bluffs on the first day. Thought it would be fun to get up early and photograph riders silhouetted by the rising sun. The weather had other plans.
Bigger cities may have bigger, fancier floats in their parades. But I often find small town celebrations have more heart, more personality, and more tractors. Spent the afternoon in Avoca for their 4th of July parade and 150th Anniversary celebration.
